Available Thicknesses
Fireplace glass must be robust enough to withstand intense heat and fit perfectly into its metal retaining channel. We offer the industry-standard thicknesses required for stoves and doors.

1/8″ Thick
A thinner profile generally used for small, lightweight bi-fold masonry fireplace doors made of tempered glass.
3/16″ (5mm) Thick
The industry standard. The precise thickness required for almost all ceramic wood stove and pellet stove replacements.
1/4″ Thick
A heavier, highly durable choice used for large, custom architectural fireplace doors and heavy commercial stove units.
Available Glass Edges
Flat Polished Edge
A perfectly flat, machine-polished edge. This clean, smooth finish is essential for safe handling and allows the glass to slide effortlessly into tight metal stove channels and tracking alongside gasket tape.
Beveled Edge
A decorative angled cut along the perimeter. While generally not used for hidden wood stove channels, a beveled edge adds a stunning, elegant architectural detail to custom frameless fireplace doors where the edge is exposed.
Extra Options & Customizations
Fireplace doors come in countless styles. We provide precision drilled holes, clipped corners, and arched tops so your glass matches your specific heating appliance perfectly.

Precision CNC Fabrication
Important Note: Both ceramic thermal glass and tempered safety glass cannot be cut or drilled by the customer after production. All hardware holes and edge alterations must be mapped out exactly during ordering.
Precision drilled openings to securely attach metal door handles, hinges, or decorative trim pieces.
Full custom patterning to match arched masonry doors or cut-off corners (clipped edges) to fit inside unique metal frames.
Smoothly curved corners, often required to fit seamlessly inside the cast iron flanges of wood stoves.
How To Measure For Fireplace Glass
Measuring for high-temperature replacements requires absolute precision. Metal doors expand significantly when heated, so you must factor in tolerance to prevent the glass from shattering.

Measure the Old Glass
If the original glass is still intact, simply measure it exactly. This is the absolute safest way to ensure a flawless fit in your specific door.
Measure the Metal Frame
If the glass is gone, measure the inside width and height of the metal channel where the glass and the fiberglass gasket tape will sit.
Deduct 1/8″ Tolerance
Subtract 1/8″ from your width and height frame measurements. The metal door will expand when hot; this gap prevents it from crushing the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions
Should I choose Tempered or Ceramic glass?
If you have a closed wood stove or a gas insert where the flames are right up against the glass, you MUST choose Ceramic Glass (rated to 1400°F). If you have an open masonry fireplace with folding doors set back from the fire, Tempered Glass (rated to 400°F) is generally sufficient, provided you don’t burn fires with the doors closed.
Can I use standard window glass?
Absolutely not. Standard annealed window glass will shatter instantly and violently under the intense thermal shock of a fire, causing a severe safety hazard in your home.
How do I install my new fireplace glass?
Ensure your stove is completely cold. Remove the door, unscrew the retaining clips, and clear out the broken glass. Apply a fresh layer of fiberglass gasket tape around the edge, lay the new glass down, and replace the clips. Never over-tighten the screws! The metal door will expand when heated, and if the glass is clamped too tight, it will crack.
Can you cut the glass to fit my arched doors?
Yes! Our CNC cutting machines can easily fabricate arched tops, clipped corners, and specific pattern shapes to match your unique fireplace doors.
What is the turnaround time?
Most custom fireplace glass orders are precision-cut, tempered (if selected), and shipped within 9–11 business days.

Custom Fireplace Glass for Doors & Stoves
There is nothing quite like the warmth and ambiance of a crackling fire. But when the glass on your fireplace shatters, cracks, or becomes permanently stained with soot, it instantly becomes a major safety hazard and an eyesore. We provide premium, custom-cut fireplace glass manufactured right here in the USA. Whether you are fixing a built-in masonry fireplace or a freestanding wood stove, we cut your replacement panel to your exact measurements and ship it securely to your door.
Safety & Efficiency with Glass Fireplace Doors
An open hearth loses a massive amount of heated air straight up the chimney. Having intact, high-quality glass fireplace doors is essential for regulating your home’s temperature.
When your doors are closed, the glass radiates heat outward into your living room while preventing your central heating from escaping up the flue. More importantly, tight-fitting doors prevent dangerous stray sparks, embers, and logs from rolling out onto your floors or carpets, keeping your family and pets completely safe.
Choosing the Right Fireplace Glass for Doors
Finding the correct fireplace glass for doors is critical, as different heating appliances require different levels of thermal resistance. Standard window glass will shatter instantly under the heat of a fire. You generally have two choices depending on your specific setup:
- Ceramic Glass (High Temperature): The gold standard for closed wood stoves, pellet stoves, and gas inserts where the glass is in direct, close proximity to extreme flames. Transparent ceramic (like NeoCeram or PyroCeram) can safely withstand continuous temperatures of up to 1,400°F without cracking from thermal shock.
- Tempered Glass (Low Temperature): Best suited for standard masonry fireplaces with folding bi-fold doors where the glass is set further back from the open flame. Tempered glass handles temperatures up to 400°F to 500°F and is highly resistant to blunt impacts.
Note: If you plan to burn fires with the glass doors closed, you must upgrade to ceramic glass to prevent shattering.
Easy Fireplace Door Replacement
Buying exact-fit replacement parts for an older, discontinued fireplace model or a custom masonry build can be nearly impossible at a standard hardware store. We make your fireplace door replacement simple by custom fabricating your glass to the exact fraction of an inch.
Whether you need a standard rectangular pane, an arched top, or clipped corners to fit a unique metal frame, our state-of-the-art American manufacturing facility ensures a flawless fit every single time.
