Are all glass whiteboards magnetic?
No, standard glass is not magnetic. If you want to use magnets on your board, you must select our “Magnetic Backing” option. This fuses a layer of steel to the back of the tempered glass.
What kind of magnets work on a glass board?
Because the magnetic pull has to reach through the 1/4″ thickness of the glass, standard weak refrigerator magnets will not work. You must use heavy-duty Neodymium (rare-earth) magnets for glass boards.
Do I need special markers?
No! You can use any standard dry-erase markers. Liquid chalk markers and wet-erase markers also work beautifully and wipe off easily without leaving residue.
How is it mounted to the wall?
Frameless glass boards are typically mounted using stainless steel standoffs. We pre-drill the holes in the corners of the glass. You anchor the standoffs to your wall studs, slide the glass over the hardware, and tighten the caps.
What is the turnaround time?
Most custom glass dry erase board orders are manufactured, drilled, tempered, and shipped within 9–11 business days.
